Back to normal … almost
A the painter turned up this morning, removed his gear, cleared out the coverings on the feature wall and the floors, put back the switch plates, re-hung the door, vacuumed the lounge and entrance and helped us move the furniture back into the lounge and entrance. There’s a big clean up to do now, starting with getting the dust off the lounge furniture. We were excited to think that we would be able to sit in the lounge tonight, but completely forgot that we have no lighting at the moment. Tomorrow we’ll rescue a couple of lights from the garage and use those until the new light fitting arrives.
The light fitting for our bedroom arrived today. Unusually, there were stamps on the package - 130 of them. We were so intrigued by this that I took a photo.
After lunch we cycled out to visit friends at Kakanui and spent an enjoyable couple of hours with them drinking coffee, eating scones and chatting. They have a really lovely view from their deck - see extra.
We’d not long arrived back home when I had to leave to go to line dancing. The beginners’ class started last week and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s good exercise and also good for the brain having to remember all the steps. Great fun!
