Liberation
My blip as taken in Liberation square, the statue was placed there a few years ago for Jersey to remember the day it was liberated from Germany in World War II. Every year on 9th May it is a bank holiday in Jersey and the roads around this area are closed off for the remembrance service. It is a very special place for Islanders to remember times past. My picture today does not do it justice as the bronze statute has so much detail on it. Next time I blip it I will take my other camera to get a more detailed capture. I took this on the way to a presentation this afternoon as there were not to many people around it.
