Le Mans crescent
This is a really beautiful part of Bolton as it is still paved with cobbles a good place for film crews. On the left is the back of the town hall.
The architects Bradshaw Gass and Hope are responsible for some of Bolton’s best loved buildings including the iconic Le Mans Crescent. It was completed in 1939. The library is a bit further just out of shot.
That’s where we took the girls today and they found books and while they were reading I discovered the non fiction adult books and found one written by David Hockney: “ that’s the way I see it”.
Then when we had our books we went to the new cafe. Must admit the toasties were only ok but the hot chocolate and cakes were delicious as was the chicken soup! You just need to be selective! Then it was home for a bit of exercise: I surprised myself at what I could do!! Course the girls can do lots more especially 10yo who is particularly flexible!
Pancakes for tea and now they are watching a film while Ro has a sleep!
