Rubbish Catcher Becomes Rubbish

Across the river in our local park there was a boom that gathered rubbish flowing downstream.  It was quite effective most of the time, and tonnes of crap was taken out of the river and carted away (lorryed away?).  

But eventually the boom years were over, and it has been dumped here for quite some time.  In another location it would be fly tipping.

The extra is of a pry bar left behind accidentally by one of the roofers who did some work for us recently.  It is nice to see a precision tool so suited to the work it has to do.  

I was hoping the roofer might tell me to keep it when I rang to tell him, but he's coming back for it. Of course it's the right thing to do and he'll get far more use out of it than me.
