In the kiln...
... at the end of my glass fusing class today. It's destined to become a bowl but is currently a flat circle 12 inches across and - provided it comes out of the kiln OK - it will then get slumped in a mould to form the bowl in a second, more gentle firing. There will be another blip to show how it turns out - provided it isn't a disaster! It was very fiddly cutting the edges of the strips to fit the circle and then putting the black stringers - very thin strips, like spaghetti - between the rows and getting it all to sit together. I hope the kiln will iron out some of the rough edges and gaps!
