Noson ym Mhenarth

Noson ym Mhenarth ~ An Evening in Penarth

“... of all methods offered in Buddhism, meditation is emphasized as the most important. It is the one training that changes the mind at all levels.”
― Rob Nairn, (‘Being Fully Human’, Living, Dreaming, Dying, Shambhala, 2004, p. 18)

Rydyn ni'n lwcus, fel myfyrwyr, bod ein hathrawon yn byw ym Mhenarth - nid nepell oddi wrthym ni yng Nghaerdydd. Heno aethon ni i Benarth (ac yn ôl) ar ddau fws oherwydd y roedd hi’n haws na cherdded i’r orsaf ac yn rhatach na thacsi.

Mae ein hathrawon yn byw mewn hen dŷ yr oedden nhw adferedig gyda phren noeth, hen ddodrefn, ffenestri codi ac yn y blaen. Mae’n hardd iawn. Y tu ôl i’r tŷ yw cwrt sy’n arwain at yr hen cerbyty sy’n maen nhw’n defnyddio fel swyddfa. Mae’r lle yn hyfryd ac yn dawel.

Gwnaethon ni noson fendigedig. Roedd hi'n gyfle i sgwrsio am ein cyhoeddiadau a llawer o bethau arall. Cawsom hefyd bryd o fwyd blasus ac ychydig o win da.

We are lucky, as students, that our teachers live in Penarth - not far from us in Cardiff. Tonight we went to Benarth (and back) on two buses because it was easier than walking to the station and cheaper than a taxi.

Our teachers live in an old house which they restored with bare wood, old furniture, sash windows and so on. It is very beautiful. Behind the house is a courtyard that leads to the old coach house which they use as an office. The place is lovely and quiet.

We had a wonderful night. It was an opportunity to chat about our publications and many other things. We also had a delicious meal and some good wine.
