Bunions, Best Friends and a Bad Joke.

Firstly I apologise to those of you who now feel nauseous at the sight of my deformed feet.

Today I had to break the bad news to the boys that I will be having foot surgery and will not be able to wait on them hand and foot (groan) for some time after the op. They briefly looked up from their books/games and grunted. I feel sure that they have not fully grasped what I was telling them.

It would appear that bunions and decades of osteoarthritis have trashed my right foot to the point that the consultant expressed surprise at my ability to walk as well as I do!!!!
It seems that surgery is the only option - involving anaesthetic, cutting, repositioning and pinning bones, scarring, pain, plaster and crutches.

Call me ungrateful but I was not overjoyed.

This evening #2boy's best friend called in for me to countersign his passport form.
I have known him for 14years and his Dad is my twin.
(Big Rob is not my ACTUAL twin. We were just born on the same day and are the same age)

#1 and #2boy were off out later as Markey (#1boy's best friend) is back from Oz.
Markey and my Sean have been friends for 17years. They moved into a flat together aged 21 and gave up their jobs and flat to go to Australia in 2011.
I do not expect the boys back tonight :-)

Now for the REALLY bad joke......

Knock knock
Who's there ?
Matthew !
Matthew who ?
Matthew is pinthing my foot!
