When Pigs Fly
This is Perpetua, the weathervane on my potting shed. She is named after a pet pig my mom had as a child who had learned to pull the cord on the outdoor shower to cool off in the summer. Pigs are VERY smart. Friends got it for me many years ago because it was one of my favorite sayings, "I'll do that when pigs fly." She needs to be repainted, but she faithfully tells me which way the wind is blowing and right now she is saying it is blowing from the southeast. ("When the wind is from the south, she carries water in her mouth.") This snow will turn to rain later so not worrying about shoveling or plowing. Well done, Perpetua!
