Helm Crag

Just arrived back in Cumbria.  We decided to come through Windermere instead of our usual way via Penrith and the A66.  We have come up on Friday instead of our usual Saturday as we are taking Lucie & Tom to the theatre tomorrow.

Good choice because the light was gorgeous through the middle.   As soon as we went over Dunmail Raise the heavens opened and it went really dark.

This view shows Helm Crag aka 'The Lion and the Lamb' because that's what the skyline looks like when viewed from the right angle.

If the weather and light stay as good as this for the rest of the week, I'll be a happy bunny.
