A brief respite...

A beautifully sunny, if somewhat cold morning, so I rushed off to Hampton Court to check the state of the flowers in the Wilderness Garden. Sad to say that many of the croci/crocuses have taken a bit of a battering with the recent rain, but this rather fine specimen had obviously had the sense to delay opening until the weather improved a little - of course this cunning plan may have been foiled by the return of the deluge this afternoon!

The daffodils are still a little way behind in flowering but I've included one as an extra - you can expect to see a few more here in the coming weeks.
