A great end
MrK & I had done a fair bit of research this morning of things to do with a young adult in Norwich today and sent FK 4 suggestion links on our family WhatsApp group. He'd set an alarm so was up at a decent time this morning, so MrK and I went into Fakenham to put some posters up about the chapels coffee morning and mothering Sunday service. We'd just done it in time, before more torrential rain fell. A change in forecast.
Back at the house FK took his time to get ready after a leisurely breakfast and had picked out an activity he quite fancied. An escape room in Norwich. Indoor great. £90 for under an hour. Not great! And not do-able. We searched many cheaper options, but it seemed all indoor options were now booked out. FK said he wasn't fussed and settled down to more revision!!
I finished my shell art project and MrK and I hung them after a little reorganisation. I then booked us on the 5pm showing of 'One Life' at the Fakenham equivalent of Everyman Cinema at a very fraction of the cost! An Art Deco gem with this beautiful clock.
There were a couple of grumbles at the idea, from the boys, but it was an excellent film choice for us all and they were pleasantly surprised how the story of Nicky Winton getting over 600 displaced children out of Prague before the Nazis invaded and how this all came to light 40+ years later, panned out. We then went to The Aviator for a late dinner and spirits were high with lots of chatter, laughter and love.
What a difference a day makes!
