Gravel

I had my dentist's appointment yesterday and had called the familiar cab. While waiting for him, I threw gravel (grit?) on the icy walkway. (When I was still moving about, and doing shopping, I had bought a small bag of gravel/grit for sanding. We would have been in trouble without it, the walkway was bare ice!)
