A treasure from my father
Sorting out and decluttering, as we do, I came across this book. It is about identifying NZ grasses, and interests me as we walk in the Wellington suburbs, where very dry grasses abound because of our hot dry summer.
As extra shows, the book cost $2: was published just three years after we adopted decimal currency. My Dad was a bit of a polymath, interested in all sorts of science subjects: he also did a TV series in the 1960-70s and a children's radio programme before that, 1950's to 60's. It's nice to have a little of his reference material that is still relevant and useful..
