Smile on!

Dating little A

I haven't gone out with little A alone for a very long time. It so happens that DH has to take OO out, therefore I have little A all to myself.

We went for a nice dinner, where she cheerily said "hello!" to anyone walking by in between her bites. We then went to a nearby playground for a bit before heading home for some quiet reading time. Little A was incredibly well-behaved - not whining even once. I suppose when she has my undivided attention, she wouldn't have to resort to crying/whining to get what she needs. We joked and laughed, I made requests and she listened. It was like a dream came true.

I just feel bad that with OO in the picture, plus all the other daily demands and chores, having my undivided attention for a whole night is indeed a rare treat for little A. We should make a point of doing this more often.
