Yes that really is me under all that beard and wig. 

Lord of the Rings marathon - all three films (extended editions!) in Woking cinema today. Started at 10.20am and finished at 11pm! I was the only person who dressed up, disappointingly, but I gave it some real wellie and got lots of selfie requests and positive comments. I am Gandalf at heart. When I’m not being Doctor Who. Or Jean Luc Picard. 

That was the day. Nothing more to say except it was fab. I was riveted throughout, didn’t fall asleep once - such good cinema.
