Lisa preparing my lunch. Vegan from her, of course

I popped out of the church hall where we have our stalls at The Shambles Market, and not only said hello to Lisa, but ordered my tofu and vegetable burrito from her. She has a business called Vegan Vacanza and everything she makes is so tasty and nourishing that I can't resist getting my food from her. Much is prepared in advance, particularly the delicious cakes, organic kimchi and kefir, but she also cooks in front of you and makes great conversation too.

I was rather grateful when she smiled and waved for my camera as she is usually preoccupied and very busy. When I popped back a few minutes later the aroma was delicious and within a few minutes I was back inside the hall ignoring the customers in order to bite into my burrito. Thank you, Lisa.

In the background you cans see the main door into St Lawrence Church, whose church hall we use. Today I bumped into Katie N., who is organising the various uses of the church as part of the Lent Programme  of Stroud Centre for Peace and the Arts (between 14th February until 30th March 2024). They are trying to make the church a venue for the widest community uses, and I applaud their efforts. I'll blip inside the church once again in due course.
