The Matter Of The Root

This tree had to be removed from one of our beds as it had taken over. It was a shame and we have taken several years to reach this decision. It was a twisted hazel that had untwisted.

So BrambleBlossom decided it had to go, and I did the going (while she did some other gardening).  The tree did not want to go, but it eventually did.

At least I have immortalised the roots of the tree.

In the background is the new bed in its position, waiting to be bedded in and then filled with soil.
