Flight to England

It was a day of travelling, first by bus to the airport, then by plane to Manchester.  All easy so far!  Then the difficulties begin.  I thought we could travel to Victoria by tram as there was likely to be engineering works for the trains.  No tram, and no trains.  It was therefore a bus replacement service to Piccadilly, where we were told we could get a train.  No train, no tram and the free number 2 bus wasn't running.  The only clear solution was to walk to Victoria with all our ski gear.  We also acquired a person who was wanting to get to Victoria as he was uncertain what to do.  Eventually, we got to Victoria and after one cancelled train, we finally got one to Leeds.  All the people we met were lovely but they just didn't have the full knowledge and information to help us out.  We were therefore tired by the time we got to Garforth.
