Shoveler and Widgeons back blip

We took a ride around the ridge looking for a blip. Blip really gets you up and out. We drove past one of the ponds down on the creek and saw these ducks. At home we are used to river ducks and a few puddle ducks now and then. Here it is just the opposite. On the way home I noticed where a beaver had cut trees down on the creek. Hubby turned around to take a look and we stopped and asked the neighbor about it. We do not usually have beavers around there. He said it was only the second time  they have seen one in over 15 years.
Our friends from town came by for s nice visit. See extra. He has been fighting cancer for several years bur seems to be doing pretty good. It was great seeing them.
