Slipper Orchid ( Paphiopedilum maudiea )

Knowing we would have a busy morning and then adrive across to Harrogate I took a few "just in case" shots as soon as possible.

We set off after an early lunch and had a trouble free trip over to hHarrogate.  Arriving almost simultaneously with another couple from the village.  We got set up and then walked the couple of hundred yards on a fact finding mission up to Lidl. Much larger than our ;local one it has everything we might need while here in Harrogate.  After the evening meal we walked up the road again for Clickychick to get a blip.

The emergency blip is a shot of my Slipper Orchid that has just opened into flower.  Not a brilliant shot as I took it in situ and "contra jour".  However it will do as a record shot of the first day in flower and I might try for a more photogenic one later.
