Terrapin and Baby

I took my DSLR to the park today, hoping to get some shots of Eddie and his friend playing. My friend thought it was this thursday I couldn't make it but it's next week, so it was just us. I'd usually have my compact camera, which I can use one handed, and held it through the railings over the lake to get a better angle. As it was, I drew attention to myself leaning over the top, trying to use the camera and hold on to Eddie at the same time. Some other walkers were watching and as they passed the same spot were leaning over to see what I'd been looking at. Some serious nettle and railing cropping on this shot!

It was a beautiful morning, but it's been raining non stop for hours now.
