A Roman drain!

It's fascinating what you learn about a city. The road leading up to the Palace in Split was once much larger. People were allowed to add new buildings, but were told to keep the original features. This is actually inside a bank where you can also see where the original curb was.

I was so busy taking a photo that I was oblivious to the bank's security guards who were not very happy!
