Two trees
It was sunny and bright today, and thankfully the strong winds from yesterday have gone. I am struggling to find something interesting to photograph, it is that in between season and I am bored with the scenery around me.
Last night we had an interesting evening at our camera club, a very experienced judge critiqued images we submitted - so no scoring, instead she spent a long time discussing each image and getting feedback from the photographer as to why and how it was taken, and then asking the other members of the club for their views. It was very constructive and a good way to learn about what makes a photograph good and how they are judged. Poor focus, bright white areas that are distracting, too bright a background are some of the things that are not acceptable.
Following on from yesterday's blip where I mentioned people dying from cancer, this report on how the UK lags behind other countries for treatment times is interesting. The differences between the countries within the UK is also rather frightening, the average time to start chemotherapy was 48 days in England, 57 in Northern Ireland, 58 in Wales and 65 in Scotland. Not good, is it?
