First grape hyacinth
My work on 13th November 2023 has started to reap rewards. This is my first grape hyacinth. It's a rather attractive and unusual sky blue colour. To the left of the shot is one of the daffodils that has shot up in the two weeks that we have been away. I do hope that the shoot to the right is not wild garlic...
We had a really easy journey home up the M5 and M6, and then along the A702 into Edinburgh. We collected Mummy hazelh from my not-so-little sister at Tebay services near Penrith. During the journey we learnt that Mummy hazelh's new chair will be delivered tomorrow.
We hardly had a moment to ourselves when we reached home. We have been very busy unpacking, loading/unloading the washing machine, hanging laundry on racks, replanting some snowdrops lifted from Jackie's garden yesterday, and working out what we can make for dinner with various odds and ends of left-overs.* We enjoyed University Challenge. It was an exciting game with a great come-back.
*Scotch egg, sausages rolls, sprouts, new potatoes, and focaccia.
Exercise today: small amount of walking (6,298 steps).
