Some memories

I’ve been listening to a bit of alt country by some of these people, who were wonderful but never became famous. I went to hear The Believers in a local hotel in the early noughties, to discover that I was the only paying customer. They played anyway and it was a great night. Another time the headliner must have been late in arriving, so the promoter said to me, ‘Can you play a few songs, Martin?’ I did. I have no idea what I sounded like.
