Back and forth

Early start to the day with a phone call from A who’d had a puncture on her way to work having driven over debris in the road….a lorry had overturned carrying cows…awful to think what must have happened. N came out to repair her tyre and she decided to work at home once she’d gone for a new tyre.
Walked down to our Board meeting (bumping into GJ on the way, which was quite fortuitous to have a chat about contractors). It was fairly straightforward in the end, and whilst final decisions will be made whilst I’m away I think it’s clear what the outcome will be. Good chat with JMcN afterwards about connections and opportunities.
Nipped to John Lewis to get K a birthday present for Friday, then home for lunch and a bit of fundraising admin before down to meet BL for a chat about film studios, copyright in the AI age and possible opportunities for collaboration…interesting.
Walked to the garage to collect my car…that was an expensive mouse attack!
Home for a quick supper before out to see a wonderful concert in St Giles by cellist Madelyn Kowalski accompanied by Anna Han on piano. Superb performance of Faure, Saint-Saens, Ades and Saariaho……amazing energy, emotion and varying levels of intensity.
Raining hard by the time I walked home. Busy day, but an interesting one,
