Entrance to our street

Our flat and home for the month is on the left at the start of this street.

It's been a mad, crazy week, with no time to draw a breath. The British Embassy told the British Council to close completely Friday, Saturday and Sunday (a working day here) because of the potential problems and '2nd revolution' planned for Sunday and we had to take the decision to cancel our assessor's visit (from Tunisia) on Sunday because of safety reasons. We needed to get special permission from Cambridge to 'self assess' and now have to send all 12 portfolios (big A4 ring binders with all the trainees' lesson plans, language analysis docs and written assignments). They'll get assessed in the UK. We lose one whole day of an already tight course and schedule and have had to re-jig the trainees' teaching schedule and input session timetable. Aagghh! The trainees are good though, generally positive and hardworking, despite being exhausted and working on lesson plans, written assignments and resubmissions. We still finished the week in a good place! (It's Thursday night now and so this is a back blip).
