The Old Forge (Thursday 29th February 2024)
Persistent rain meant I was able to continue work guilt free on getting my workstation adapted to take account of the new desktop PC.
I decided it needed its own monitor so spent some time swapping monitors and cables around, actually more difficult than it sounds, and beset with drawbacks, but by the end of the afternoon everything was at least up and running, if perthaps not all correctly connected yet. At least it made me tidy up my desk a little.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Oculus Ensemble featuring Clio Gould (violin)/Simon Hale - Julie Cooper: PAVANE in Burnt Orange (recorded 2023, Masterchord Studio, London)
'PAVANE in Burnt Orange' is the 4th single to be released from Julie Cooper's album 'OCULUS' on Signum Records and is the slow 2nd movement from 'The Renaissance Suite'. The 4 movements are inspired by Renaissance dances with a contemporary twist. The Pavane originated in Italy and is a very slow, majestic dance that was often used in stately processions.
The vividly descriptive 'Burnt Orange' refers to the colour the Oculus Ensemble's Principal Conductor Jessica Cottis sees through her synaesthesia when conducting in the key the movement is written in.
'PAVANE in Burnt Orange' is written for and recorded by the acclaimed violinist Clio Gould (Leader of the Oculus Ensemble) and features Camilla Pay on harp with the Oculus Ensemble, conducted here by Guest Conductor with the Oculus Ensemble, Simon Hale.
I was tucked up in bed listening to Hannah Peel's Night Tracks Mix (Radio 3) when this piece of music came on and lulled me off to sleep.
