The Fox and Hounds ...

... as was, on the A68 at Stagshaw.  It had associations with the ancient Stagshaw Bank Cattle fair, which was at one time held on the moorland immediately to the west of the inn.  Now, empty gravel wagons rush by, heading for Barrasford Quarry (Whinstone and Limestone).
