A single iris flowering amid what will be a bank of them in a week or two.

A busy day as I prepared for choir at the weekend and trip to the UK on Monday.  Choir preparations obviously meant baking; I made a double size pumpkin spice cake since the cake I took last time wasn't nearly big enough, and also a couple of quiches. Fitted in shopping, laundry, cleaning and tidying the house in preparation for the housesitter, and a trip to the recycling bins (blip sorted at this point). It was good to sit down at the end of the day and eat various scraps for supper. There are still quite a few things on the to do list though.
