Educational Talk!

Whistled up for emergency childcare - small boy had a temperature the previous day and the nursery demands a 24 hour period to have elapsed before kids are allowed back. And he was great fun to entertain. I made him pretend ice creams and spoke in a pretend Italian iced da creamadda voice. The way things were, eh? And how many times did we read about going on a bear hunt? Terrific.
Much later, out to the first of the FCYC Winter Talks. AG, marine biologist at Edinburgh Uni, and owner of a lovely little Pandora gave us a talk about her trip in 2021 beyond the Arctic Circle to Franz Josef Land to study the walruses. Not on her Pandora, naw, on some Russian Research Vessel. In happier times. And it was hugely interesting! I mean, walruses, y’know. 
And George Galloway is back in Parliament. Good that he’ll now have a steady income and won’t have to go scrabbling round his pals like Putin and Assad to earn his crust. Was it just three years ago he was telling people he was voting Tory? And now he’s the workers representative. Inshallah as he’d now say, no doubt.
