Western Painted Turtle

I think I have identified him correctly as Western Painted Turtle. I saw it in a nearby wildlife conservation area. Northwest Wisconsin was originally a Pine Barrens before European settlement, and deforestation. This particular site was reclaimed from tax delinquency in 1960 and is now at over 60% of its goal for total restoration.
