Mixed day…

was sleeting when I set off, by the time I got up through the wood it had stopped and it was quite warm, although the pond was still iced over. Woodpeckers were drilling all around and there were plenty of wee birds singing. Went out in the car later and five miles away was thick snow! At Lochindorb, the Oystercatchers and Lapwings had arrived but were not thrilled to find the nesting grounds snow covered! Arrived home to no snow but sun and quite a pleasant day!
