River South Tyne

Today's the day .......................... for business as usual

This is the view across the valley of the River South Tyne, that greeted us when we woke up this morning.  It was very picturesque and pristine - but it was as if we had gone back a season.

However, despite the fact that it is quite a remote location, a snow-plough had already been up the road through the valley and so the actual road surface was clear.  They know how to cope with wintry conditions up here.

So we said au revoir to Helen and Bob, (see extra) because they had a day's work to go to - and we set off for home.  As soon as we descended to the lower ground, the snow disappeared as quickly as it had come - and the rest of the journey back was uneventful .....................
