Niece's 40th birthday party

Friends and family met down on perranporth beach.
It was very windy, but we found a bit of shelter behind Chapel rock to enjoy the picnic and cake my sister had made.
With the wind and drizzle the surf was high and not inviting for a swim, and the tidal pool looked a bit scummy.
Football was played, rocks were climbed, sandcastles made and my grand nephew tried to bury me in the sand. Fortunately he isn't 3 yet so I easily got myself out.
What more would anyone want to celebrate 40yrs :-)
