Waving to Rene
I’m with Lucy Gould of the wonderful Gould Piano Trio and she is waving a greeting to Mum.
Tonight there was a fundraising concert for the Corbridge Chamber Music Festival at the end of July.
We heard:
Glinka Trio Pathétique for clarinet, cello and piano,
Marschner Trio no2 for piano trio,
4 of Mendelssohn’s Songs without words, arranged for clarinet and piano
Beethoven Trio op.70 no. 2
The church was very cold so everyone was wrapped up in their coats, hats and gloves, but the atmosphere was warm. I saw lots of festival regulars, but also Tracy and Colin Reed.
Tracy and I met in the Cobweb Orchestra, many moons ago. We formed a wind quintet and even gave a few concerts. It was an exciting time.
Some years later I gave up playing, but Tracy is still going strong.
It rained again today and the cats put muddy paw marks on the white step after I washed it!
This is not a back blip, but do look at yesterday’s if you missed it.
