New Dawn

Today cousin J and I went to London on a Grand Day Out. First off we had a guided tour of the Palace of Westminster. It was really interesting and our guide was a mine of information.
In the afternoon we went for afternoon tea at the Reubens Hotel near Buckingham Palace. It was lovely.
My main Blip is New Dawn which is an artwork of glass by Mary Branson which was installed in Westminster Hall in 2016. It celebrates the campaign for women's suffrage, and is illluminated with light levels changing according to the tidal level of the River Thames.
The extra  is the floor plaque in Westminster Hall marking the place where the Late Queen Elizabeth II Lay in State in September 2022.
