Took the train to South Germany to attend a conference next week. I am using the opportunity to see my parents and Felix. Train journey was smooth except for the fact that a replacement train was used and my reserved seat did not exist.After coffee and cake we went for a great walk along a path that was recently reopened. When I was a kid it was totally overgrown and unpassable. 

Also finished book #2, Blood in the Machine by Brian Merchant. He describes the Luddite uprising at the beginning of the industrial revolution and the parallels of work in the 21st century and the 18th century. We are back where we started and a new round of fight of labor rights is required. The book is highly recommended.
