The First Butterfly

A marvellous walk this morning, up the hill, through a thicket of trees, around the edge of two fields, freshly planted, across another field on a footpath.  Muddy shoes, out on the balcony to dry.

I was thrilled to see my first butterfly of the season lingering, just for me, in the Viburnum bush of pink flowers.
