Large Spoil

This is Portland Stone, material for many buildings in London, and the slopes are strewn with large boulders which were apparently unwanted detritus from the quarry.

The strange little shacks seemed to be holiday huts of some sort; they were quite a way above the shingle beach at Chesil Cove.

And in the Extra the beautiful day, if a little chilly, on Chesil Beach – looking west towards West Bay.
