A Slow Day

Another day just being quiet at home, as I’m still feeling well below par with a horrible dry mouth like the bottom of a birdcage. After lunch I went out for a walk and took some photos. As far as I can tell, this picture is of blackthorn blossom, also known as sloe.

A friend left some potted snowdrops on my doorstep, which came from our friend Hazel’s garden. Her family are putting her house up for sale soon now that she has settled in her care home, and wanted each of her friends to have something from it. My garden is too saturated to do any work in it yet, but I’m looking forward to getting started and finding a good spot for the snowdrops.
