No birds in the bush

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, as the saying goes. However, the woman has three birds in her hands and her daughter two, so there can not be many birds left in the bush.
I have seen pigeons eating from the hand in movies from Italy and in photos, but never in real life, so today's sight was a great experience.
My husband, who has also never seen it in real life, and I stood and watched the family feed the birds in their very special way, until the food was gone. It was great.
