The local mob....
Really cold again today, but that didn't stop the farmer across the road from Ellas school bringing the sheep into the yards and sorting them into some sort of groups with the help of his dogs.
I got talking to him and he explained that they had separated the ewes which were pregnant with twins and triplets as they had already scanned them earlier in the week, and were going to truck them off to another farm until lambing time.
It is always such a nice thing to see,this farming action, as really we are only semi-rural in Heathcote. 10mins drive one way and we are in the city centre.
