Misplaced hope!

Not the best of days ..... rain on & off through the morning but it did clear up a bit for the afternoon.

We decided to risk it & set off "up the road"!

We were walking past the wood when it began to rain ..... didn't seem too heavy so we carried on & hoped for the best. Luckily it only lasted for a few minutes!

As we passed this ditch we noticed the Little Egret ...... unfortunately quite distant but I did manage to get this photo. It just had to be my blip as we don't usually see one here! I think he was a bit lost!

We did manage the rest of the walk without more rain so not too bad .... would have been better if the wind hadn't been so blustery & chilly but hey ho!
