Less is More
The gorgeous roseate colours on the lesser redpolls are striking so striking that I had to do a close up shot which took out the bird feeder too.
There were siskin galore which I loved seeing coming to Hillers bird hide for food on the feeders: many chaffinch, a robin, pheasants, a couple of stock doves, partridge, a dunnock pair and a wren to name but a few. Some made it to the Extras.
It was a grey cold day but when the clouds parted for a while there was blue sky.
Not the only thing coming in to the feeders today as JDO (see her link for common redpoll), plus a few other photographers decided to try their luck.
