New word

Picked up the grandson this morning and back to ours for porridge before we went off to the university park. He loved the swings, the slide and then the ducks. His new word today was coot. After lunch he wasn’t interested in a nap so we took Hetty to the canal and he spotted a coot, and shouted coot, all the geese and swans are still ducks, but he knows coots.
Walked him home and met up with his mum in the park.
I have certainly done plenty of steps today, and enjoyed every minute.
