Preparing for a busy week
Up well in advance of everyone else today, so made some coffee, emptied the dishwasher, fed the cats, and caught up on some writing. This is going to be quite the busy week: follow-up appointment with the surgeon; Ottawacker Jr’s endless soccer; NZ work. Also, this is the time we start making plans for Christmas, so plenty to do there.
Afternoon to Hillcrest for Ottawacker Jr’s two intrasquad scrimmages. Holy Mother of God was it cold: they were playing in freezing fog and then pouring rain: all with the wind howling about us. Ottawacker Jr almost in tears at the end, his gloves had got wet and he couldn’t feel his fingers. At least, that was his excuse for letting in a soft goal… But he was freezing cold.
Mrs Ottawacker’s dad in hospital again – and out again. They suspect a fractured T1 – hopefully though he will once more pull his 97-year-old Houdini act.
