Helping Hands

Today’s the best day of the week per the current forecast, and it didn’t disappoint! Temps hit 52F this afternoon :) • No Jackets Required • After breakfast at our favorite diner, we filed our Income Taxes for 2023, then headed to the river for eagle watching before finishing up with a few more errands • Instead of eagles we found two black and white kittens huddled together near a chain link fence in the sunshine. They were quite far from the parking area but right on the water’s edge. Our best guess is they were either born in the wild or abandoned • It was heartbreaking to see them, so of course we soon left to buy food at the nearest grocery store. Thankfully they were still there when we returned • MrsP distracted the seagulls with crackers while I slipped away with a bag of dry food. As soon as I stepped towards them they disappeared over the ledge. It’s a significant drop to the water so there must be an opening in the wall for them to crawl into. They never did reappear but I left a big pile of food for them • We’ll return again soon to check in on these two furry orphans… • Spay & Neuter your pets, please!! • Peace & Love
