Tell Me What You Want

A little project I've wanted to undertake for some time - Portraiture with a dream theme.
Since I fell in love with Marvel comics at the age of around ten, I've had a bit of an obsession with New York and it's fair to say I know the geography of Manhattan better than most of the places I've lived in. Despite this, I still haven't been there. But one day...

The NYC detail is from a large framed map in my living room. I initially wanted to photograph my reflection in the map but that was proving really difficult for light and positioning, so I opted to shoot the map separately and blend with a self portrait.

I've also used this photo for other purposes. Some Photoshop practise, tonal manipulation for black and white shots and this is also my entry for a monthly group blip challenge - Black & White.
