from the near east, a bird amulet
size from beak to tail - under 3cm.

on our way out to take our neighbour and his cat to the vets we met 2 coastguard vehicles and a police car with lights and sirens coming up our drive.  by the time we got home there were 10 vehicles and a helicopter and a lifeboat out too.  we couldn't get anywhere near home, but i did manage to stagger slowly uphill.  we were only told that there had been a good outcome.
